How can I enable SIP ports in my SpeedTouch modem?

Problem:

Some SpeedTouch modems may have port 5060 blocked



Solution:

The modem may have port 5060 blocked, here is how to get rid of it:

1) Go to "Start->Run"


2) type: telnet 10.0.0.138
(where 10.0.0.138 is the I.P. address of your router, 10.0.0.138 is usually the default)


3) A username prompt will appear, just hit [enter] and it will let you in.


4) type: nat unbind application=SIP port =5060


5) press enter after the command above.


6) type: saveall


7) press enter after the command above.


type: system reboot


9) press enter after the command above.
